The Cooks: While we were in The Bahamas, we met the most interesting tour guide and had a wonderful time with him. One of our favorite places was here, a beautiful waterfall and the “Queen’s Staircase” which was built by the freed slaves from bottom to top to represent coming out of slavery into freedom.
The Erskins: Went to Nassau on 10/2/21. We toured the John Watling’s Distillery in the morning then hired a wonderful tour guide (Kensly Joseph) for the afternoon. He took us to see several interesting spots like The Island Caves, some local art and Big Pond Park. This pond was a childhood fishing favorite for Kensly. It was so peaceful and we saw several different species of birds. Overall, another awesome day with my favorite husband.
Alexis: Visiting Nassau Bahamas as our first port on this cruise. We love Nassau. It was one of the first places we ever traveled together and we always meet so many nice people while on the island. Shore excursions booked through Royal Caribbean are required for non-vaccinated guests. If you are vaccinated you can go wherever you please. You do not need a mask outside, but when you go into shops you must have one on. Also the Bahamian government would like you to carry your proof of vaccination with you while on the island.
